I am a Sardinian photographic artist based in London. My work investigates transformation as both an internal and external process. Inspired by alchemical principles, I explore the relationship between psychological change and the physical manipulation of photographic materials.
Working with my photographic archive, I treat images as malleable material, reworking the memories and associations they carry and taking them beyond their original contexts. Through photomontage, I explore the unconscious, allowing symbolic and archetypal imagery to emerge.
While my inward focus engages with these psychological states, my outward exploration is rooted in a longstanding connection with the natural world, shaped by my upbringing in Sardinia. Rather than approaching nature solely as a subject to be observed, I seek a reciprocal relationship with it, working with its elements and characteristics as active participants in my creative process.
My practice moves cyclically between inner and outer explorations, with each informing and enriching the other. Together, they form an ongoing process of transformation, discovery and renewal.
